“Oh yes, my house of worship will be known as a house of prayer for all people.”
Dear Members and Friends of the Harrisburg First Seventh-day Adventist Church,
Last week I shared with you “An Urgent Call for Prayer” from Ted N. C. Wilson, President of the Seventh-day Adventist World Church, urging all members to pray for our brothers and sisters in Eastern Europe.” Let’s continue to pray, but let’s also help…
According to the United Nations, many civilians, including children, have lost their lives. About 1,000,000 Ukrainians have fled their homes and are crossing the border into neighboring countries since the ongoing conflict began on February 24.
The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) has joined efforts with Hope Channel International, Inc. (HCI) to mobilize relief for the people of Ukraine. They will work closely to deliver emergency supplies for displaced families, children, and individuals in the war-torn nation. Additional emergency personnel have been deployed to the region to coordinate logistics and purchase supplies, including food, hygiene items, and clothing for the displaced people amassing on the border.

The North American Division has created an offering code so that church members can give to assist in Ukraine. If members are giving funds with an offering envelope, just label the offering "Ukraine." That offering will then go to the conference, and they will send those offerings through the church channels to Ukraine. If giving online, use the following offering code: #31042-Ukraine. That money will also be directed through the church channels to Ukraine.
If our church family or I can be of assistance to you during this time, please do not hesitate to call: 717-652-6000 (church office) 717-652-6005 (pastor’s line)
“Let’s encourage one another and all the more as we see the day approaching.”
